What is Modernproxy? - Modernproxy is a service that allows access to websites that may be blocked by corporate or school proxies. It allows anonymous access to sites accessed through the proxy service. Trusted proxies, like Modernproxy, have a strict privacy policy and do not collect personal information about who is using the service. Many popular sites are accessed through services like Modernproxy such as Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo, Google, Amazon, and many others.

Why are there ads on Modernproxy? - Proxies display ads to give surfers opportunities to find content they might not find easily on other sites. Some sites, like Modernproxy, offer membership services (coming in April 2007) that do not show ads for a small monthly subscription fee.
